To be fair, prior to yesterday he had taken 12 penalties and only ever missed one, so in the absence of Noble, you can see why he was selected to take it.
Arnautovic has missed one in seven.

Too many left footed penalty takers miss. Never comfortable watching England's left footers take pens. since Waddle and Stuart Pierce. Something about how different parts of the brain work if you are left handed/footed. Obviously not cut out to take them.

Apologies if this question has already been asked, but why was Eeyore allowed to take that penalty? Watching from the stands it was obvious to all of us from his body language that even he didn't expect to score. Sure, stick him in the box and if the ball falls to him he can stick it away. But then so could most of us. £20m. Beyond belief.

I actually agree he's a good poacher...but the rest of the time we might as well have ten men for all he contributes.
He's a worse version of Hernandez...we need a Lanzini alternative, not a Hernandez alternative.
Playing this cunt in midfield is totally futile. Poignant moment...ball breaks, Ayew carries it forward. Single opposition player stands in his way on half way line. Ayew just runs into him and loses it...no attempt to shift the ball, pass, beat the player.
The guy is just a bad footballer but good finisher with no clearly defined position. Read the Swansea boards at the time wr got him...they weren't too sad about it.
